FAQ's

1. How do I know what I am getting from a mold quote?

Mold quotes can be very complex. Using a mold specifications sheet will help you know everything that you are getting in a mold. Our engineers can walk you through the process of filling out this form.

2. What type of plastic material should I use?

When choosing a material, you need to consider the following: mechanical properties, price, color, surface finish, and weatherability. We have plastics engineers who specialize in material selection to give your part the look, feel, and quality you need.

3. How do you compare to prices overseas?

More and more people are bringing back their molds from China and other foreign countries. According to our customers, this is for a number of different reasons including:

  • Shipping costs are getting higher
  • Unexpected costs (customs, duties, and variable shipping costs)
  • Communication is difficult for design changes and expectations
  • Lead times are long, and products are late
  • Suppliers are dropping low volume customers
  • When you consider all of the many variables and costs associated when dealing with a company overseas, we are very competitive in our pricing and guarantee that the quality will meet or exceed your expectations.

4. What experience do you have?

We have been referred to as the "Dream Team" of injection molding and mold building. See a list of our engineering team by clicking here.

5. Can you test the molds on site?

Yes, in fact this can greatly reduce your lead time. Switching between molder and mold builder can take weeks.

6. What CAD software do you use?

We use SolidWorks and COSMOS for our design and engineering. We use MaterCAM for our CNC programming. See a full list of our equipment and software by clicking here.
